I support women in labor to help ensure a safe, satisfying, and memorable birth experience. My role focuses on providing physical comfort and emotional and spiritual support. I also help facilitate communication between you and your providers/hospital staff to make sure you can make informed decisions as they arise. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress and help with relaxation, movement, positioning, massage, hypnosis cues, and other techniques for comfort.
Our Birth Packages will provide you with the knowledge and confidence you need to understand pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Anasuya offers three birth packages that include childbirth education and doula services.
A Doula is a trained non-medical support person who provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to women during major medical events in their life. Those events can include fertility, birth, pregnancy loss, death, etc...A Birth Keeper is someone who holds space for women to find the fullness of their power, to learn to truly trust, connect and listen to their bodies and to give birth in a way that makes you feel seen, heard, safe and respected.
Doula and/or Birth Keeper, this is your calling, you know deep down that you're meant to be serving birthing women in your community.
In this training, you will learn about the benefits of yoga during pregnancy, as well as learning how to teach a variety of asanas to your prenatal students and how to modify many postures to make them safe for pregnant women. This training will also review the general anatomy of Hatha Yoga, along with providing information about the changes that occur throughout pregnancy.
There are three Prenatal Packages with Anasuya LLC; The Bountiful, the Blissful and the Beautiful Birth Package.
All of them include the following Doula Services:
The difference between Bountiful, Blissful and Beautiful is the number of Childbirth Education Sessions. Bountiful is 20, Blissful is 16, and the Beautiful Package is 10 sessions of Childbirth Education.
Birth keepers are doulas but doulas are not birth keepers as doulas are bound and limited in how they can support women by whatever scope their certifying organization has set.
Anasuya LLC Doulas/Birth Keepers:
We don't empower women; we help them embrace the power within.
Doula and Birth keepers encourage women to take control of their birth by knowing their rights and becoming educated about the birth process so they are empowered to make choices that are best for their families.
Birth keepers support the mother in whatever capacity she needs to achieve the birth experience she desires.
We believe in traditional wisdom. We believe that birth is a right of passage. We are here to awaken the power in women so we can reclaim birth. We know that women are born with the wisdom of birth and motherhood in our DNA. After all, women have populated the entire earth.
We believe in mothering the mother. We believe in their bodies! We believe that women are wise and birth is sacred. We believe in traditional wisdom.
How you want to direct your certification and training will be chosen by you.
If you are a yoga teacher, birth worker, therapist (of any kind) or fitness instructor, the skills you will learn in this training will help you;
You will walk away from this experience as a certified prenatal yoga teacher.

Mala is the sanskrit word for garland. It is typically 108 beads, in addition to the guru bead and is used as a meditation tool while chanting, reciting or silently repeating a mantra. They help the wearer focus their minds. When not used for meditation, they can help wearers carry a sense of peace, calm, mindfulness, and focus with them throughout their day. As a Birth Doula, I often will make a mala with my client prior to their birthing day. When used in birth, the mama in labor chooses a mantra that will help her when she most needs it. For some, this is a more tangible, more helpful tool than visualizations might be. It gives her a physical task as well as repeating a mantra. Mamas can use one bead per breath, one bead (or several) during a surge, or can chant her mantra between contractions to help focus her mind and calm her body.
